In the morning, we drive to Guanghan to visit ancient mysteries in the Sanxingdui Ruins. We fly to Zhangjiajie in the afternoon. Zhangjiajie is acclaimed for its fantastic formations of peaks, crystal clear water, spectacular karst caves and the unrivalled high percentage of forest cover. For dinner we are served the local Tujia Minority Cuisine. Accommodation: Jinjiang Hotel (5 star).

Today we continue our sightseeing tour in Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan Scenic Area. First we will visit to another reserve - Tianzi Hill. We ascend and descend Mt. Tianzi by cable car. Mt. Tianzi has been given a sobriquet "King of Hoodoos", it is characteristic of the area to have high and dense hoodoos. Then we tour Yellow Dragon Cave, a huge limestone cave in which there are two underground rivers, four waterfalls, 13 caverns and countless stalagmites. We drive to Fenghuang Cheng (Phoenix Town). Fenghuang Cheng is located on the western boundary of Hunan Province in an area of outstanding natural beauty where mountains, water and blue skies prevail. Fenghuang is Chinese for 'Phoenix', the mythical bird of good omen and longevity that is consumed by fire to be re-born again from the flames. Fenghuang Cheng (Phoenix Town) is so called as legend has it that two of these fabulous birds flew over it and found the town so beautiful that they hovered there, reluctant to leave. Upon entering the town the visitor will be impressed by its air of mystery, elegance and primitive simplicity. This is a world that is dominated by the colour green. The mountain slopes are covered with green foliage, the fields are green and even the Tuo River reflects the greenery. The bridges over the water and unique houses built on stilts display a harmony that is so often portrayed in traditional Chinese paintings. Fenghuang Cheng is a wonderful example of what villages were like prior to the onset of modernization. After breakfast, we will tour the town whole day and will also visit a family of Miao ethnic minority. Tonight we will have a local flavor dinner.

After breakfast, we drive to Changsha. Upon arrival, we will visit the Yuelu Academy. Yuelu Academy was founded in 976, the 9th year of the Song Dynasty under the reign of Emperor Kaibao. Yuelu Academy as one of the four most prestigious academies over the last 1000 years in China, it has been a famous institution of higher learning as well as a centre of academic activities and cultures since it was formally set up in 976 (the Northern Song Dynasty). The Academy, which has survived the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties, was converted into Hunan Institute of Higher Learning in 1903. It was later renamed Hunan Normal College, Hunan Public Polytechnic School, and finally Hunan University in 1926. In the afternoon, we fly to Guangzhou. Have a local flavor dinner.
